I am a mum to a very active 7-year-old and I am fortunate enough to work part-time so I can spend as much time with my daughter & husband as possible.
We love a good day out a theme park or just a walk by the river to feed the ducks. The 2020 Lockdown made me realise just how important all my loved ones are and I should cherish them!

CRM Students Case Study
Challenge
- Lack of a structured recruitment process.
- Area Managers and Operation Managers wasting hours sifting CV’s.
- Big issue regarding “no shows”.
- Each candidate would have been prepared differently.
- Multiple agencies on different rates meant recruitment spend was very high.
- Losing good staff to competitors.
- No reporting analysis.
- Difficult and time-consuming to extract information. This could only be gained by speaking to finance who would have to check cost centres.
Solution
- Work towards becoming an extension of their HR department.
- Working closely with HR, Operations and Mobilisation to write process, manuals, recruitment guides and agreeing a flexible adult approach.
- Create a slick, consistent process for all candidates (external, internal and referral).
- Offer a competitive fee structure that covers all vacancies even those that didn’t go to external agencies prior to our agreement.
- Worked closely with the HR Director to implement an internal process that would offer visibility to all employees ensuring they can progress within CRM, whilst minimising the amount of time spent hiring.
- Created a weekly snapshot report that gives an instant overview of current vacancies, spend, interviews, placements and comments.
Results
- Over 300 vacancies recruited.
- Vacancies filled in 18 months across Head Office in Oxford, 65 sites across the UK and 20 sites across Europe.
- £508,000 Total spend.
- Based on average agency fee’s before agreement, EllisKnight have saved CRM £314,874.
- 38 Internal moves.
- Excellent relationship between CRM and EK, that leads to easier decision making.
- Clear SLA’s.
¨Shaun is one of the best recruiters that I have ever worked with. From the first call, he had an enthusiastic and professional attitude and guided me through every step in the interview process with pre-calls before the interview session and a feedback-call after the interviews and even follow up calls after the contract was signed. Shaun genuinely cares about his candidates and the organization that he represents. He is a great asset to his employer. Thank you very much for your help!¨
