Billing Coordinator

Location: Reading Town Centre (opposite Reading Train Station)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a leading and expanding property business, is seeking a Billing Coordinator to join their team based in the centre of Reading.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing council tax and utility costs for a large residential property portfolio during void periods. You will ensure all accounts are registered accurately, bills are validated and processed efficiently, and financial records are maintained to a high standard.

Working closely with local authorities, utility providers, and the property management team, you will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and financial accuracy across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register void properties with local councils and utility providers.
  • Notify relevant parties of changes in tenancy status.
  • Validate and reconcile bills for council tax, gas, electricity, and water.
  • Track and process invoices and payments for all utilities and council tax.
  • Support the management of estate and service charge payments.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular cost and billing reports.
  • Escalate any discrepancies, delays, or issues to the Head of Property Management.

About You

  • Experience in property management, utilities, or finance administration.
  • Strong understanding of council tax and utility billing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and growing organisation where collaboration, initiative, and attention to detail are valued. You will be based in a modern office just opposite Reading train station, working as part of a professional and dedicated property management team.
