HR Generalist (Part-Time)
Amazing opportunity to join a fantastic business that provide IT services to the UK's Defence and Security sectors and to other government departments which have complex and demanding security requirements.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support for the company in line with compliance, legal requirements and best practice. The ideal candidate must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and should also be confident in creating written HR policies and procedures.
This role is working 20 hours a week over 5 days from the Reading office.
Responsibilities:- Supporting Team Leads on general HR topics (Employee Relations, Training, Well Being, Disciplinaries, etc)
- Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
- Support ongoing employment (including training), and leavers processes
- Assist with pension administration and benefits
- Oversee the accurate record keeping and maintenance of attendance, annual leave, sickness, and any other absence
- Overall responsible for company performance management schemes which includes staff skill development, mentoring, coaching, DISC profiling etc.
- Ensure employees have current and relevant objectives set
- Responsible for management of Apprenticeship and graduate schemes
- Provide training and developmental support to the HR administrator
- Ambassador and champion for Investors in People accreditation
- Manage information for the monthly payroll and producing any necessary changes letters to staff
- Provide management information for monthly HR reporting.
Qualifications- Good Educational Background - A-level or degree level is desirable
- Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards CIPD Qualification or can demonstrate previous experience at advisor level within an HR function.
Skills and Experience- Highly proficient Office 365/Microsoft Office
- Recent experience working in an HR Department, ideally as a Senior HR Advisor
- Experience working in a fast-paced, responsive and professional environment
- Well organised, able to manage work to meet conflicting and frequently demanding deadlines. Illustrate a high standard of prioritisation of work and conflicting demands.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a keen eye for attention to detail.
