Senior People Manager (12-Month FTC)
An exciting opportunity for a people-focused Senior People Manager to shape and elevate talent, performance, and culture within a growing Build-to-Rent platform.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will sit at the heart of the business—driving people development, strengthening leadership capability, and embedding a high-performance, values-led culture. This is a hands-on role where you will lead performance and talent initiatives, coach managers, and ensure the organisation is set up to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
You will take ownership of talent mapping, succession planning, and performance frameworks, while acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. Alongside this, you will oversee core HR operations, ensuring compliance and consistency across employee relations, recruitment, and people processes.
Key focus areas include:
- Driving performance, engagement, and capability development across the business
- Leading talent mapping, succession planning, and development initiatives
- Enhancing onboarding and employee experience to support long-term retention
- Partnering with leadership to build a strong, inclusive, and high-performing culture
- Using HR data and insight to inform strategic people decisions
We are looking for a commercially minded HR leader with:
- Proven experience in a Senior HR role within the UK
- Strong expertise in performance management, talent development, and culture building
- The ability to influence and coach senior stakeholders
- A proactive, pragmatic approach with strong organisational skills
- Solid grounding in UK employment law and HR best practice
- Any experience within the property sector would be an advantage
Based in Reading with occasional London travel, this 12-month FTC offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on people, performance, and culture in a scaling business.
