Ellis Knight are excited to be working with a leading residential rental and management company with operating buildings located across the UK. Our client is widely recognised as one of the leading providers of services for residential properties. The block management specifically provide comprehensive management services, as well as strategic advice to its corporate clients and investors and it's here where our current opportunity lies. Our clients continued expansion means that they are now looking for a Business Development Manager who will help to grow their Block Management client base.

The Role

  • As Business Development Manager, you are a well-connected individual within the industry.
  • You will have the core responsibility of growing the number of leasehold blocks under the management in line with the overall company growth targets.
  • New business will be gained from your existing contacts, as well as by leads generated by the wider team, alongside developers, leaseholder groups and investors.
  • You prospect for new accounts, retain existing accounts and increase opportunities with existing customers. You will be the face of the company in this field and will have the dedication and passion to create and apply an effective sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.

Experience:

  • Strong sales and business development experience with a proven track record
  • Thorough knowledge of leasehold block management, and ideally have previous experience of managing a portfolio of developments
  • Build an excellent list of nationwide contacts within the industry; including developers and investor freeholders
  • Customer Service Experience

  • Stellar networking, organization, and negotiating skills
  • Act with professionalism and consideration at all times
  • Confidently communicate with senior management and clients
  • Ability to focus on customer service and drive effective results
  • Highly energetic, self-starting, detail-oriented, independent team player
  • Proficiency in CRM application (e.g. NetSuite, SalesForce) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Capability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with Leaseholders
  • Time management and planning skills, handling multiple tasks and be able to prioritise
