About the Company:
Our client is redefining family home rental across the UK. Established in 2021, they have rapidly grown into a leading provider in the private rented sector (PRS), offering high-quality, new-build homes in desirable locations. Supported by renowned industry leaders, they have ambitious plans to become the largest provider of single-family homes in the UK.

With the recent acquisition of two substantial property portfolios in Southeast England, this is an exciting time to join a company that is committed to enriching lives through renting.

The Role:
As a Lettings Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company’s extensive property portfolio. From overseeing tenant rent charges and processing refunds to generating bespoke financial reports, you’ll ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant financial management.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and experience in property accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the accounts liaison between property management and finance teams, resolving queries and providing support.
  • Manage tenant rent charges, refunds, and ad-hoc payment requests with precision.
  • Oversee the arrears process: liaise with tenants, send arrears notices, and escalate unresolved cases.
  • Handle aged debt recovery, including engaging with external agencies when required.
  • Conduct credit control for supplier accounts, ensuring accurate payments and account order.
  • Review supplier invoices for accuracy, authorisation, and compliance with quoted works.
  • Approve utility payments for void properties, cross-checking against tenancy records.
  • Provide financial reports on arrears, aged debt, and other bespoke reports as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified or qualified by experience in accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in general accounting, ideally within property accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with property management software, such as Yardi, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and analytical skills.

Why Join?
This is your chance to work with a forward-thinking company in a supportive and dynamic environment. Our client offers the opportunity to grow your career as they continue to expand, contributing directly to their vision of delivering exceptional rental experiences to their residents.
