Disrupt agency are working with an amazing cosmetic/beauty manufacturer to source a beauty/Cosmetics/personal care industry experienced Account Manager / Project coordinator on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave. (starting ideally around July 2024.)

The account manager is a key hire who can manage key client relationships and coordinate (project manage) the launch of new cosmetic/beauty/personal care products to market.

This is very much a customer service/relationship management and project management role where you will show credibility and build trust to win projects where you will then face off with and manage client requirements/needs/concerns and expectations in the launch of new/improved beauty/cosmetic products to market.

You will also face off with and build relationships internally with all business stakeholders across all relevant divisions and touch points to launch cosmetic/personal care/beauty products. These will include the likes of sourcing, packaging, Product development, technical, marketing plus more.

This role is a critical hire for initially on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave and is expected to move into a full time permanent role longer term.

Due to the nature of the role and the need to meet/speak and engage with key stakeholders within the business it will require you to be in the office 4 days per week with 1 day working remotely.

You will also get to travel to customer/client sites around the UK (usually 1 day per week and typically this is in or near London). All expenses are taken care of for travel.

Person profile:

  • Due to the nature of this role covering maternity leave we do require some experience (recent) of working within the Beauty/Cosmetic/personal care manufacturing sector: ideally with experience of taking managing the process of taking products to market.
  • You will be an autonomous worker who gets sh*t done. Organised, planned, thoughtful, relationship focused, engaging, accountable and able to create projects of work that meet strict timelines and budgets.
  • Full management of P&L for your area
  • You will have a persuasive and engaging “service” based sales approach. Pushy sales people who wing it don’t work here!
  • You will be credible, thoughtful, consultative and quality focused with your client’s and colleagues “need” always at the forefront of everything you do.
  • A natural “project manager” who is highly organised, can take the lead, is well planned and able to manage and mitigate risks to keep project workloads within budget and delivered on time.
