Sales Ledger Assistant


Are you an ambitious individual looking to kick-start your career in accounting and finance? We are currently seeking a Sales Ledger Assistant to join our dynamic team in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for recent Accounting and Finance graduates or individuals with a minimum of 6 months experience in an accounting and finance role to further develop their skills in a thriving organisation!


You will be based in Oxford 5 days a week during your probation period, so please ensure you are within a commutable distance.


Ideally, you will also be available immediately or with a short notice period.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the sales ledger function efficiently and accurately.
  • Process sales invoices and credit notes promptly.
  • Reconcile sales ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and respond to customer queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist in month-end procedures and provide support for financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing of sales transactions.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance department.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (for graduates) or an AAT studier.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in an accounting and finance role (for experienced candidates).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritise tasks efficiently.
