Disrupt Agency are currently hiring for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The DevOps Engineer role is a critical hire to provide DevOps expertise within a Greenfield Transformational Environment. The Senior DevOps Engineer role will be working for a leading UK Retail business, working on a hybrid basis where you will get together as a team twice per week in the office.
Essential requirements:
- 5 Years experience + within DevOps
- Azure Cloud and Terraform experience
- Leadership experience (Engaging/collaborating and supporting/developing team members and engaging 3rd party delivery partner)
- Strong communication skills (Engage/win hearts and minds/Articulate technical requirements in a way the business can understand)
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to work outside of core hours during critical go live/troubleshooting phases
- Change motivated, driven to apply expertise and try new ideas/approaches.
- Inquisitive mindset, desire to learn and progress.
- Interested in solving problems and finding solutions
The Role:
- Advocates DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods as part of a larger cross-functional team
- Ensures a high quality and automated approach to software delivery
- Drives development of fast, clean and reliable code
- Owns the project technical strategy and provides guidance and technical oversight to individual scrum team members (e.g. on the amount of time to accomplish assigned engineering tasks) and is a steward of high code quality
- Plans tasks for self and others, and accountable for their delivery.
- Responsible for understanding business problems and designing, developing / configuring, testing, and deploying software to provide the solution
- Leading other team members and performing quality reviews of the work of other teams
- Working in a growing environment that has/uses Test Driven Development, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
- Contributes to solution architecture discussions
- Understands cloud cost models and can run cloud readiness assessments
- Has knowledge of cloud security and seeks implementation of best practices
- Build trust. integrity and team engagement within the engineering team and other professionals in the company.
- Communicates proficiently and professionally to customers and co-workers.
- Dedicated and willing to follow through with individual and team commitments.
- Evidence of developing best practice, role modelling and embedding this into the wider engineering team
Working structure:
- Monday to Friday
- Hybrid structure working 2 days each week in the London Office (City/East London)
