Senior Finance Business Partner
This role is reporting into the Head of Finance for a large not-for-profit business and the aim of the role is to support and build improved business performance and efficiencies, using data and reporting to shape business decisions.
The role:
- Deliver commercial business partnering service to central business teams
- Support decision making and drive efficiencies with reporting and data analysis
- Performance improvement
- Build and maintain influential and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop and manage the preparation of monthly management information
- Deliver meaningful and insightful commentary which supports the monthly reporting and reflects key business issues
- Work with Central Teams to produce realistic but challenging budgets and forecasts
- Ensure budget holders and project managers receive business partnering service that enables them to understand financial impact of project delays on project budgets and forecasts and subsequent cashflow impacts
- Provide objective challenge regarding spending plans and take a proactive
- role in looking for opportunities to deliver services more efficiently and effectively
- Responsible for monthly accounting and forecasting of the Apprenticeship Levy working closely with the Leadership and Development team to maximise use of the fund within budget limitations
Skills & Experience:
- Experience within a similar role with a not-for-profit would be an advantage
- Qualified Accountant – CIMA, ACCA or ACA
- Experience within a large accounting function
- Extensive experience or preparing and presenting monthly management information, budgets and forecasts
- Proven track record in business partnering and adding commercial value
- Commitment to teamwork and building relationships
- Excellent systems skills
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Willing to attend meetings and present at different locations when required
