Automatic Door Engineer / Industrial door / Auto Door / Engineer / ADSA / ADIA / EN 16005
Disrupt Agency are recruiting for several Automatic door engineers / Auto door engineers for immediate starts. All vacancies are working for a growing organisation that specialises within the commercial Property sector providing Installation, Maintenance / PPM and Service Engineers for Automatic Doors /Industrial doors and Entrance systems.
All positions are London based with an opportunity for regular overtime at Tx1.5 for over 45 hrs each week, Tx1.5 for Saturday and Tx2 for Sundays and Bank holidays. All work is for commercial clients and for permanent positions offering long term career progression, training/development and job security.
Automatic Door Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Broad skills across all or specific skills covering; Installation, Servicing, maintaining and repairing various automatic door and entrance systems.
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
- Build good working client relationships
- Reporting and logging of parts and materials including keeping check of stock levels
- Communicate the status of jobs via company CRM to colleagues and managers
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Ensure the correct storage of equipment, power tools and materials
- Ensure Company Vehicles and Office storage areas are kept clean and tidy, in line with safety regulations
- Ensure awareness of health and safety policies and procedure including protective equipment and clothing
- Complete and maintain health and safety records including COSHH assessments and ensure knowledge of data sheets for all equipment and materials used
- Manage quality control of workload.
- Complete accurate notes on clik at completion of works with correct start and end times, materials used and additional notes for additional repairs
- Always working to all Company policies and practices, legal regulations and to undertake relevant training and development.
Competencies of an Automatic Door Engineer
- Previous experience working on all types of automatic door and security systems.
- Valid EN 16005 certificate or ADSA OR ADIA Training/accreditation or equivalent experience from time within the industry.
- Experience and training with recognised industry manufacturers preferred or any relevant formal training courses completed.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, legislations, policies and procedures
- Experience working in a customer facing environment
- Maintains current knowledge with the latest technology

- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to work with the ability to absorb and understand technical explanations quickly and analyse and solve problems accurately.
Further information
- Given the nature of this work this will require someone who can be flexible with start and finish times and is willing to put in the work that is required to get the job done. This often involves changing start and finish times to accommodate our client requirements and often provides opportunities for overtime once you hit 45 hours each week. The start times will either be from leaving you home (if hold full UK driving licence and using company van) or if working with a team from the point of being picked up in the van.
- This is a field-based role and hours will vary depending on client request for early or late starts and even Out of Hours working, all of which are remunerated to support the best engineers.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
- Sponsorship available longer term for experienced engineers currently with a minimum of 2 years on their current UK visa and holding an engineering qualification and relevant work experience.
