CRM Students are thrilled to be hiring a number of AAT qualified or 'soon to be' AAT qualified accountants to join our Shared Service Finance Team based in Oxford. The role offered is titled Management Accountant and would suit a qualified or soon to qualified AAT accountant ideally trained with a small to medium size accountancy practice. We will also consider applicants who are currently studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA etc with a minimum of 2 years relevant accountancy practice experience.
This is a progressive accountancy position offering the successful accountant / management accountant an opportunity to progress both in terms of practical accounting experience as well as future professional studies.

We offer a *hybrid working environment where we utilise our modern office space by working 3 days each week on-site with the option to work remotely 2 days each week. (*available after completing all relevant training and probation period)
Key Purpose of the role
- The role is to be the main accounting contact for up to six student sites (Final number dependent on complexity of sites) producing a set of monthly and/or quarterly set of management accounts per site to be submitted externally to the Client to strict deadlines and client requirements
Key Tasks
- Production of monthly financial management information and variance analysis commentary.
- To liaise with clients and site staff regarding accounting queries.
- The production of annual site budgets, in conjunction with the site staff and Head of Operations
- Timely remittance of funds to clients and cash flow reporting.
- Ad-hoc reporting with regards to banking covenants.
- Ensuring all processing and transactions for a client site are complete and accurate.
- To assist in the development and training of new and more junior members of the team as required
- To participate in process improvement
- To ensure all company policies are adhered to.
Education:
- Educated to minimum AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA/ACA Part Qualified. QBE will be considered.
Experience
- At least 2 years previous experience as a Management or Financial Accountant. Experience should include preparing monthly company/client accounting packs/ management accounts (Accruals, prepayments, P&L/Balance Sheet etc)
Skills:
- Ability to organise and prioritise daily/weekly/monthly time critical tasks
- Client focused with a strong attention to client requirements and delivering great service
- Microsoft Excel to include VLOOKUP’s, IF Statements and Pivot Tables
- Good general user of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to recognise trends and anomalies of data
- Ability to interpret data and provide commentary to explain and support your findings
- Willingness to develop your skills, knowledge and ability both professionally and personally.
