Head of Sales
We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Head of Sales with a successful business who strongly believes business should be a Force for Good. The role:
- Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for the sales strategy of the company and management of the UK sales team.
- Working with the Head of Marketing and the CEO to produce a clear and actionable sales and marketing plan.
- Working with and providing feedback to the operational leaders within the business to ensure that sales growth is mirrored by excellent service.
- Attend trade shows and key appointments with the team to build profitable new business.
- Ensuring the team leaders of each sales team are equipped to drive sales forward in their respective areas.
- Being an active participant of the leadership team of the business and collaborating with other leaders for success.
Skills & Experience Required:
- A proven, demonstrable track record of growing previous businesses through sales leadership is absolutely essential.
- Experience as Head of Sales of a B Corp or another purpose-driven business would certainly be an advantage.
- An equipping, empowering and coaching leadership style is important as we continue to form self-manging sales teams within the business
- A proven track record of bringing business to previous employers from the major UK supermarkets and national food retailers.
- At least 3 years’ sales management experience preferably in FMCG
- A track record of pioneering opening new business opportunities and rolling new initiatives out to a team.
- A lover of fine food & drink, with a working knowledge of the UK food and drink market and the key people within it
- An understanding and belief that all business must increasingly put people and planet before profit.

- Highly motivated, organised, and capable of managing a large team. Self-starter and hungry for and excited by achieving team targets.
- Ability to form a successful team and ensure that everyone in the team is performing to their full potential and ability to act if they are not.
