Our client is a fantastic international pharma business with offices based in Green Park, Reading, Berkshire, seeking a bright sciences-based graduate to join their team on a full time basis as a Compassionate Use & Medical Information Associate. No previous experience is required and this role would initially be a two year contract to provide first line support in the management of Medical Information enquiries and associated responsibilities. This is a fantastic entry opportunity to the pharma industry with a role that sits within a multi-functional team, providing a great oversight of pharmacovigilance and regulatory within cosmetics as well as pure pharma. This is a hybrid role with excellent opportunities for progression into a permanent position beyond the two year assignment.
This interesting and varied role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Management of all communications relating to compassionate use supply requests under individual patient folders in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Management of entries into the CSAR database.
- Generation of monthly metrics
- Management of the receipt and tracking of Medical Information enquiries received either verbally or in written format into the Medical Information Department.
- Provision of comprehensive Medical Information responses either verbally or in writing.
- Review of all Medical Information enquiries for the presence of safety data which if identified is reported to the Vigilance Department in accordance Standard Operating Procedures.
- Review of all Medical Information enquiries for the presence of technical complaint information which if identified is reported to the Quality Department in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Serve as an in-house resource for product information and Medical Information expertise
- Provide internal resources for product knowledge and respond to internal scientific enquiries
- Management of current awareness covering the biomedical literature to allow for the provision of comprehensive and current Medical Information responses.
- Maintain a working knowledge of UK and Republic of Ireland Codes of Practice requirements and PIPA (Pharmaceutical Information and Pharmacovigilance Association) Guidelines for the provision of a Medical Information Service.
- Participates in Global Medical Affairs improvement initiatives as required
The successful candidate will have the following skills, qualities and experience:
- A Pharmacist or Life Science first degree or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-sufficient and resourceful
- Commitment to customer focus in all aspects of the role.
