Procurement Specialist / Generalist Indirect / Indirect Category /Professional Services Category

The Procurement Specialist role is a key role within the Indirect Category team working across all indirect category management categories. Previous UK Indirect category experience is essential for this role.

Key skills required:
The right candidate will need to demonstrate a good level of knowledge in;
- A range of indirect category / procurement experience ideally with some professional services categories; IT, Systems, Digital, HR, Finance, Fundraising, etc..
- End to end tender experience
- Contract law/ contract review exposure/ability
- Business risk
This is an experienced hire Procurement/Category Manager/Specialist position and we need the successful candidate to have some experience in reviewing commercial and legal terms and conditions and be able to translate operational/strategic outputs in to legal and commercial risks.
Previous experience will ideally include both public/not for profit sector and private sector experience however a strong generalist indirect background in any sector would be essential.
Due to the nature of the work involved we need to see several years of most recent experience within the UK market, and an awareness of English Law.
Key candidate requirements:- Graduate or equivalent with professional membership/studying (CIPS, CIPFA) or a Legal background with relevant procurement experience
- Indirect category experience (Essential)
- Experience of the Tender/RFI/RFP process (ideally end to end)
- Recent Indirect or substantial historical indirect category/generalist procurement experience
- Experience of working for different sectors ideally NFP/Charitable and Private sector.
- UK Category/Procurement experience
- Experienced Procurement/Category specialist (This is a senior member of the team)
Working structure:
- London based office (Southwark/South East) working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office
