We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Accounts Payable Manager to join us in this exciting opportunity based at our Head Office in West (Central) Oxford.
The Accounts Payable Manager position will suit either an experienced AP leader/Manager or an Accounts Payable supervisor who has a solid grasp of leading teams/people and is able to bring their recent leadership experience and process improvement skills into this position.
The purpose of this role is to be the lead and support for the Accounts Payable department for the current/future team as well as be an ambassador for the business by building excellent relationships with suppliers, clients and all other departments and teams.
Key Tasks
· Leadership of a team of Accounts Payable Assistants to include
- Progress reviews
- Absence monitoring, approval and follow ups
- Arranging training for new and existing Team members as required
- Probation reviews and sign off with guidance from the Head of Student Accounts and the Finance Team Manager
- Development and support of team members
· Support the Accounts Payable (AP) team with high workload
· Supervision and payment of all supplier invoices, staff expenses and prepaid card payments, ensuring payment policies are being adhered to
· Build a good relationship with the suppliers
· Build and maintain a professional relationship with the suppliers to ensure that all expectations are met
· Assist with setting up new suppliers and monitoring of existing suppliers
· Responsible for communicating to suppliers when sites change ownership or managing agents
· Build a good relationship with colleagues from other departments and to work closely with the Finance Team Leaders ensuring consistency between teams and implementation of departmental initiatives and policies.
· Assist in the production of information for Auditors
· To participate in process improvement and documentation of processes and procedures within Client Accounts
Education:
· Some further training within a finance qualification would be desirable (AAT, Finance Degree/College training, ACCA part qualified etc)

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
