Work with us at two of our clients student accommodation sites in Colchester!

The working hours will be on a part time basis: 20 hours per week, 9:30am - 2:30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The main aspect of this role is to ensure that the building is kept in a clean condition and to the highest possible standards.

Main duties include:

• To provide a first-class housekeeping service throughout the property

• To assist with the summer clean and work with 3rd party contractors

• To provide resident housekeeping services – such as cleaning, laundry & other ad hoc duties

• Ensure 100% compliance with Health and safety regulations and policies

• Take ownership for reporting faults etc

• Ensure data sheets are in place for all cleaning products onsite

• Assisting with flat inspections when necessary

• Conduct weekly stock take of cleaning products

• Clean all floor areas (including buffering)

• Dust/wash railings, walls and other relevant areas identified

• Regular cleaning of communal staff areas

• Window cleaning

• Cleaning cluster flats kitchens and studios (subject to site)

• Keeping bin area tidy awaiting collection

• Cleaning student rooms on early vacation

• Cleaning of room/kitchen following bad inspection by site management

• Cleaning all resident communal areas

• Deep Clean rooms at end of tenancy (where necessary)

• Ensuring the exterior of the property is swept and litter free

Attributes/ Characteristics:

• Experience of working in the hospitality sector or similar environment

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products

• Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment

• Good organisation skills with the ability to ability to manage time and prioritise workload

• Self-starter with the willingness to use initiative

• Remain vigilant, reporting any maintenance issues e.g. light bulbs that need to be replaced, damaged doors, windows, accumulation of rubbish bags etc

• Attention to detail

• Team player and contribute in team meetings

• Be adaptable and willing to work as part of a team

• Approach role with honesty and integrity
