Our client is an exciting and fast growing PR agency seeking a talented Account Manager to join their lovely team! This role will mean you are the first point of contact for their portfolio of clients, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of client accounts, mentoring, and managing junior members of the team, and driving forward the tactical implementation of communications programmes to meet and exceed clients’ expectations. You will also have a very strong understanding of the media landscape and know how to effectively create and place a story in the relevant media. You also play an instrumental role in working with high profile talent and influencers on a variety if client campaigns.. This is a full time hybrid position with excellent opportunities for progression.
This interesting and varied role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture close working relationships with clients
- Act as the day-to-day “go to” for clients, building strong relationships based on trust and expertise
- Manage multiple projects of varying scope and size including delivering activities against agreed KPIs
- Effectively delegate internally, and successfully manage team resourcing needs and requirements
- Securing the bigger pieces of top tier coverage for clients
- Daily point of contact with key media contacts and establishing strong relationships with press
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
Skills, qualities and experience needed:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flair for creativity, strategic thinking, and innovation
- A passion for the media, and social media
- Ability to work across different teams and specialities
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of the use of digital tools and social media
- Willingness to take initiative, own and take responsibility of their work
- Ability to prioritise and plan effectively
- Awareness of new media developments and latest communications industry development
- Interest in learning about new media platforms, sharing ideas and developing business cases for using new approaches and technologies
