EllisKnight are looking to recruit an exceptional Programme Manager (or Senior Operations and Improvement Manager) who has worked as a mechanic or has a good knowledge/understanding of the Automotive Tool industry. The role will be a senior position to manage, improve and deliver an outstanding and logistically efficient customer experience for the hiring/loaning and controls of specialist automotive Tools.
The Programme Manager will manage the overall running of and improvements to, a Lease/Loan based business function that provides automotive equipment to businesses across the UK and Europe. This ranges from specialist automotive tools for car manufacturing, testing/diagnostics tools to major industrial machinery that is leased /loaned out. Experience of a similar service will be desirable.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that revenue targets are met and customer SLA’s are achieved.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
Programme Management
• Day to Day management on all Tool Loan programmes
• Day to Day management of team members
• Internal/External Customer liaison
• Project Management and overall onboarding of new programmes/tools
• Monthly Billing Creation
• Daily/Monthly and ad-hoc reporting
• Budget/Cost Management of Programs
• System set-up/improvement and timely resolution of critical issues
• Maintain excellent customer and supplier relationships
• Ensures that appropriate documentation is received, stored retained according to policy requirements
Technical: Tool Management
• Correct stock levels are maintained to support the program
• Minimize tool downtime from Technical/Quality/Quarantine/Calibration issues
• Design Packaging and packaging layout ‘fit for purpose’ for program and customer
• Ensure all tools are up OEM specifications
• Kit data definition based on customer data
• Packaging prototyping & sign off
• Tool updates, changes, updates and new stock.
• Supplier coordination, planning & management
General
• Logistics & supply chain planning
• Work closely with Warehouses across Europe on stock accuracy and quality control.
• Oversee annual stock counts
• Ensure website is accurate/complete and updated at all times
• Internal/External Customer Training
• Maintain excellent customer and supplier relationships
Key skills/background:
- Knowledge of, and or a keen enthusiasm for the Automotive sector (Cars, mechanical Engineering etc)
- Experience of working in or with an automotive workshop environment
- Knowledge of workshop tools and equipment
