Technical Support Specialist (Import/Export Technology)

Specialist IT Application organisation hiring an experienced technical support / Helpdesk officer with international Freight Forwarding / Import - Export industry experience to support licensed users of their technology solution. The Helpdesk officer / technical support officer role will offer a hybrid working environment where you will work from home on Monday and Friday each week, with 3 days in the office working with the team. This is a client facing role where you will be dealing with inbound client calls, emails and making outbound calls to support the users/clients of this Application; Installation, upgrades, escalate, customer service,  troubleshooting, fault finding, workflow support, signpost to other areas-training, accounts etc

The Helpdesk officer will get to work with and support a highly experienced team in delivering a seamless and high quality service to existing and potential users, clients and prospect businesses. The team will provide a continuous service that supports the technology and it's licensed users to get the most from the system and to simplify the management of their daily workloads.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for technology and hold a degree in a technology related subject ideally with some Microsoft.net / C# knowledge (Desirable). You will be familiar with a helpdesk or IT support environment and be self-motivated with a passion for great customer service and a willingness to learn and develop your knowledge and experience.

Previous experience within the freight, logistics, shipping, import / export environment is essential.

Due to the service requirements this role will require working on occasional weekends and the odd bank holiday over the course of the year. Weekend and bank holiday working is paid in addition to your normal salary.
