- Description
We are currently looking to hire up to 3 experienced IT Technicians or experienced 2nd/3rd line helpdesk or service-desk engineers to join this busy growth IT Managed Service Provider as a Technical Consultant.
Working in a well organised, collaborative team environment where staff are supported and given the opportunity to develop. There is a great balance of working hard and having fun here where everyone is focused on supporting clients and team members.
Ideally you will have achieved an up to date MCP qualification. You will have extremely good knowledge of TCP/IP, Wide Area Networking and Local Area Network setup (including configuration and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs and VLANs). You will have experience of administering Microsoft desktop and server products, and ideally migrations into Microsoft Office 365.
The technical consultant role will provide both office based support/service and field / client site meetings/visits. This role will offer a great career path for someone with a passion to develop their career as an IT Consultant.
Duties and Responsibilities Summary
- Be the lead on the workload for your allocated customers
- Manage your own diary to ensure all work is delivered based on the customers requirements
- Work with the Consultant Team Manager to ensure that all work is delivered and assistance is provided where required
- Assist the rest of the team with reactive visits and help the helpdesk team where possible.
- Take ownership of technical issues until completion
- Keeping the customers up to date with the progress of their requests.
- Learn the full product suite and contracted support offering and keep this at the forefront of your mind when speaking to non-contracted customers.
- Pass any contract/project leads on to the Consultant Team Manager or the Sales Director
