Noise Consultant / Acoustics Consultant / Sound Consultant / Vibrations Consultant
We have a hybrid working opportunity that can be based in either the midlands or London 3 days per week with 2 days working remotely. This will be supporting major infrastructure projects within this professional consultancy business working across Rail, Highways and Energy sectors to deliver Noise & Vibration Consultancy services.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Acoustician to build their own team in conjunction with our existing client base as well as benefitting from our support in developing their own contacts. We wish to further develop our capacity in this area as we believe it’s a key component of our environmental services capability.
Preferred background:
- Consultancy experience in rail infrastructure, highways and energy sector.
- Noise & vibration studies for EIA
- Environmental noise and vibration surveys
- Section 61 construction noise and vibration assessments and monitoring
- Industrial and commercial noise assessments to support planning applications and complaint investigations
- DMRB traffic noise assessments
- Acoustics modelling
- Calculations
- Assessment report writing and environmental statement preparation
- Relevant degree
- Member of a relevant professional body e.g. Institute of Acoustics
Key Accountabilities:
- Proactively manage commissions / assignments and client teams to achieve agreed objectives with the client in a professional and ethical manner.
- Assist the Practice Leader in the production of regular management reports, highlighting financial performance, performance with key clients, current and future prospects, staff performance and workload trends.
- Assist the Practice Leader in the management, development and growth of the knowledge base within the practice - theory, services, markets, clients, rates and prices, etc.
- Develop and grow the team’s skills, expertise and capabilities by completing staff appraisals, coaching, mentoring and training.
- Develop personal and company networks to identify, cultivate and close business opportunities.
- Proactively participate in other areas of the business to achieve common goals in agreement with the Practice Leader.
- Be fully conversant with and responsible for complying with all company policies and procedures specified
- Maintain effective communication with team.
