The Candidate

EllisKnight are looking for a Project Manager to join a growing team that focuses on delivering technical and business related projects within the UK defence Technology sector.

The candidate should be willing to learn, develop and help out across a fast paced and time critical delivery environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. In return you will be given exposure to some amazing projects and get to work with some highly experienced project, technical and business leaders by providing project management support, planning and governance..

Project Manager

As a project manager, it will be your role to take the lead on smaller projects and to assist and advise snr project managers on the management of larger deliveries. This includes being able to coordinate projects, schedules and track progress and results of projects working independently or under direct supervision of a more senior project manager.

Responsibilities:

• Creating project plans

• Monitoring project progress

• Reporting project results

• Taking the lead on smaller deliveries

• Running project progress meetings and maintaining momentum on delivery of tasks required to deliver the outcomes of the project

• Managing project RAID and escalating where appropriate

Skills and Experience

• Have a bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Project Management

• Awareness of project management methodologies such as Agile and Prince2

• Be fluent in the use of Microsoft products including MSP and MS planner

• Comfortable working in an IT focused delivery function

• Ability to work independently and within a team both internally and externally to the company
