EllisKnight are hiring for 2 x experienced Project Managers for a growth technology business based in Stoke-on-Trent that operates in the Security Cleared sector (SC-DV)
The project manager will play a key role in agreeing project objectives, planning project activities, evaluating/ managing the implementation, and monitoring the progress of projects. The project manager will also ensure that all project deliverables comply with HMG’s security classification system.
The successful candidate will have:
- A proven background in delivering complex IT/Business projects, ideally in an infrastructure/technology focused environment
- Proven track record in delivering technology projects and budget management experience
- Experience of managed service environment with an awareness of ITIL best practice
- Strong presentation skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrable experience of working within a Service and Project Management environment
- Current or previous SC-DV clearance (Desirable but not essential as will put anyone who is successful through clearance)
Qualifications
- APMP /Prince 2/ Managing Successful Programmes Qualification is desirable
- ITIL v3 or 4 foundation is desirable
Responsibilities:
- Lead on and embed robust project management processes and governance for new and existing projects.
- Develop project feasibility and initiation documentation to ensure that projects can be launched in a controlled and scoped manner
- Production and management of a detailed project schedule
- Manage the project delivery within agreed set timescales and budgets; reporting progress and escalating issues appropriately
- Manage the identification, analysis, reporting and management of project RAID items
- Engage closely with the Security, Transition Delivery, and Service Operations teams to ensure that activities, risks and dependencies are clearly understood and effectively managed
- Ensure that live service transitions are well planned and managed to deliver a high quality service to our customers
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communication is well managed and maintained
- Exercising continual improvement to evolve our project governance process
- Agile approach to work in collaboration with other teams as required
