EllisKnight Consulting are currently looking to hire an experienced IT Field Engineer to support some key private client accounts across the Southern Counties. This role will offer a great career path for someone with hands on experience of managing, fixing, troubleshooting and installing home networking hardware.
You will be joining a growth IT support/Services (MSP) business based in West Oxfordshire and the role will offer a blend of reacting to client needs and visiting their premises to troubleshoot and fix issues.
Typically these can range from installing wifi extenders through to recommending products to improve or fully install a home network. Most clients will run successful businesses from home or have a large property with an extensive home network that will need supporting.
We are open on backgrounds from individuals who are the 'go to' person for their family and friends for fixing IT issues/IT support/IT advice or someone with hands on experience of working for an IT Support/Services business previously. We can also consider part-time working but due to the nature of the role, this would need to offer the flexibility to attend a client within 24 hours of an issue arising.
Day to day duties:
- Working in a key, customer facing and reactive role to support and resolve IT issues over the phone and in-person (Client meetings)
- Mix of time spent on client sites and then in the office to support the wider business.
- Responding to private customer IT network/IT queries in person and on the phone, from simple questions to more detailed advice/knowledge on products, installation or fixes/troubleshooting
- Visiting clients (reactive) to find faults, fix issues, advise on solutions, products and/or install hardware to drive improvements to their private IT networks.
- Desire to learn and develop your IT support/IT service and product knowledge (Fully supported)
- Will need to drive due to the location of client addresses across southern counties. (Mainly Oxon, Bucks, Berks, Hampshire)
