Junior Designer

Our client is an exciting and fast growing tech company seeking a talented Junior Designer to join their team. This a full time permanent position with excellent opportunities for progression - the role is remote working but with the opportunity to attend their offices near Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes, whenever you should wish.

As a Junior Designer you'll work as part of the Product Team and report to the Head of Design. You'll be supported by and collaborate with Product Managers, a Researcher and cross platform Engineering teams. The role will focus primarily on the UI and UX of the product, but will also incorporate requirements from the Marketing team such as print, digital assets and point of sale. The client will ask you to turn an idea into a design and to generate user flows that cover all eventualities. With input from user feedback and technical expertise from developers, you'll create user Interfaces that are enjoyable, accessible and easy to use.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

• Impact the success of our products by designing flawless UXs and UIs, from conceptualization to delivery
• Test innovative and intuitive interactions and animations by leveraging cutting-edge prototyping tools.
• Work closely with the product team to propose new features and improve the quality of our mobile and web apps.
• Create marketing materials that help make the client stand out from the competition.
• Ensure that the brand standards are met across all materials.

Required skills and experience:

• Strong portfolio of previous work
• 1-2 years' experience in a design role
• Degree or HND / HNC in a design related discipline
• Skilled in Figma, Illustrator and Photoshop. Some knowledge of print handy but not essential
• Able to work within a team, take initiative and meet deadlines
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of Apple / Android interface guidelines
• Can present work to others and iterate upon feedback
• Champion design across all channels
