Job Description: Project Coordinator


Ellisknight are currently hiring for a Project Coordinator / Project support / PMO officer to provide project support, project governance, Gantt Chart management and project reporting / project scheduling skills that ensure timely project delivery and robust project management support to the teams of Project Managers / Civil Engineers.


 


This position is working for an amazing ‘purpose-driven’ organisation that operates across the “Built Environment” to influence, advise, manage and deliver sustainable and efficient ‘Built Environment' / Engineering solutions that drive carbon reduction, renewable energy solutions and energy efficiency projects/programmes that reduce Carbon Emissions and provide a positive environmental impact.


 


Project Coordinator Responsibilities & Tasks


The Project Coordinator will suit someone with the skills and experience of supporting the delivery of Projects previously. You will be familiar with Gantt charts or other Project management systems/processes and reporting/updating project leadership on timelines, budgets and schedules that embed strong project governance and ensure timely, on-budget project delivery.


 


We would love to find someone (Desirable) with built environment experience covering; Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Property, Housing Sustainability, Environmental or Renewable energy experience. We are however open to anyone with the Project coordination skills if they are passionate about working with purpose.


 


Duties:


  • Assisting in the delivery of the low carbon projects through providing clear, highly organised and well managed project support, communication and reporting
  • Coordinate the packages of work to meet project deliverables to the satisfaction of the client within time and budget.
  • General project reporting, project governance / controls, PMO duties
  • IT literate with experience of producing reports or using project management / PMO and/or project scheduling systems
  • Compiling of information required to deliver Decarbonisation Plans. This will involve the coordination of surveyors, engineers, and other key people to obtain relevant information that is used to develop engineering solutions.
  • Stakeholder liaison and coordination to ensure that any site visits and investigations are managed and attended.
  • Support any ‘requests for information’ from clients or internal stakeholders
  • Coordinating with external design engineers and surveyors to ensure that they produce their deliverables as per the agreed project deadlines and that any site visits required are coordinated with the client.
  • Organising internal project-related admin and records
  • Monitoring internal and external deadlines with regular communication with the delivery teams (internal and external) to ensure that they meet their deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (Written and spoken)
  • IT Literate (Office 365 /Microsoft applications-Excel, Word etc)

Desirable Qualities & Experience


  • Interest in working within the renewables technologies industry
  • A recognised Project Management qualification would be desirable but not essential
