Account Manager -Technology
EllisKnight Recruitment are currently looking to hire a permanent Account Manager to join their growing business.Our client is seeing considerable growth year on year through the delivery of fully managed secure technology services to UK security cleared environments. i.e. Government, Defence, Intelligence and Security sectors.
The Account Manager position will suit someone with large scale/Enterprise Account Management or client relationship management and sales experience into the Government or defence sector.The Account manager will build and nurture a position of 'Client Success' across their allocated accounts and will work with the Service Managers to maintain a high level of customer /client satisfaction throughout the customer/client journey. The successful applicant will manage all sales elements of the customer/client engagement process with a focus on upselling of existing services and exploring new opportunities related to their accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer / client success sits at the heart of this role and requires a proactive approach to sales and relationship management. This role will require a focus on the core sales activities; prospecting, upsell, cross-sell, service excellence and client success/retention with responsibility for associated KPI's.
The candidate should have a broad Technology and Telecoms background, ideally including stakeholder management/engagement, negotiation experience and enterprise level technology sales experience.
Previous experience of working within a Security Cleared environment (SC-DV) would be desirable as would any previous knowledge or experience working within the Defence/Military, Intelligence or UK Government sector.This is a highly rewarding opportunity that requires a well organised and planned individual that can deliver results. The role will often require you to meet challenging, time pressured deadlines so the ability to lead in a calm and clear way will be key
Responsibilities
- Meeting both individual and contributing to team revenue targets as set by the business.
- Be a trusted advisor and regular point of contact for the customers on your accounts.
- Up-sell and cross-sell to all divisions and departments within your key customer accounts by anticipating and capturing future pain points and innovations.
- Increase the value, contract length, and retention/renewal of our contracts through becoming a trusted partner/advisor and delivering client success.
- Manage and contribute to the relevant campaigns as allocated by the Strategic Head of Sales
- Generate new suspects and prospects through in-depth research and networking in line with your sector campaigns.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all assigned Customers.
Qualifications- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
- ITIL Certification (Desirable)
Skills and Experience- Experienced sales professional with a proven background of account Management or client relationship management.
- Technology or Technical related experience (Enterprise technology, Defence, Govt)
- A natural client relationship management and sales professional with a consultative service/solution led approach to sales.
- Proven ability to influence others and negotiate to achieve the desired results.
- Excellent prioritisation and communication skills.
