EllisKnight Projects are looking to hire an experienced IT Project Manager to support the delivery of key client projects as well as supporting the creation of a robust project management framework and governance process.
The Project Manager will have knowledge/experience of complex IT Infrastructure related Projects / Programmes and will ideally have worked within a Security Cleared environment previously (SC/DV). Ideally you hold a current SC or previously held SC clearance, however if not then you just need to be able to attain this level of clearance as most of this work will be working on top secret UK defence/Intelligence related technology projects and programmes
Day to day duties::
- Development of all project set up and management artefacts such as PID, PMP, schedule, initial RAID items etc.
- Manage the delivery of projects, within agreed time and budget, reporting progress and escalating issues appropriately.
- Help with the development of the company's project management and quality management systems.
- Mentor and support junior project managers within the business.
- Manage the identification, analysis, reporting and management of project risks.
- Engage closely with the Security, Architecture & Design and Operations Service teams to ensure that activities, risks and dependencies are clearly understood and managed
- Ensure that transition into service is suitably planned and managed.
- Manage the development and maintenance of project and service cost models.
Qualifications
* APMP /Prince 2/ Managing Successful Programs Qualification.
* ITIL V3/4 foundation is desirable.
Skills and Experience
- Proven track record in delivering technology projects.
- Strong presentation skills both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrable budget management experience.
- Understanding of UK Government Security Classifications.
- Enterprise Architecture awareness.
- Experience of managed service environments, with an awareness of ITIL best practice.
- Demonstrable experience of working within a Service and Project Management environment.
