Our client is now looking for Information Security Trainee to join the growing team.
The Information Security Trainee will play a key role in assisting the Senior Information Security Manager ensuring the company is compliant with all aspects of IT security. Including the delivery of a variety of innovative, accreditable, cost efficient and profitable solutions to comply with HMG's security classification system.The role encompasses two key areas:
* Information Assurance: Assisting in implementing measures focused on protection and safeguarding of the Company's critical information and relevant information systems, assuring the integrity, availability, authentication, confidentiality and non-repudiation.
* Information Security: Protecting information and information systems from illegitimate access, usage, revelation, alteration, disruption and destruction to achieve the objectives of data integrity, availability and confidentiality.Responsibilities:
Planning Information Assurance Capability:
- Assist in developing and maintaining Information Security Management System (ISMS) to best support the Company's activities, including Risk Management and Accreditation Document Sets and Company Security Policies.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and continually improve a set of controls and measures to manage any threats to information assets.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of all protective security activities.
Implementing Information Assurance:
- Form part of the Company's Security Incident Response team, taking responsibility for whatever activities are deemed necessary by the Incident Lead.
- Develop and assist with delivery of the Company's Information Security awareness, education and training programme.
Evaluating Information Assurance
- Assist in the process of continual Audit, to ensure that compliance is maintained with the various requirements on the Company, and to support continuous improvement.
- Assist the Senior Information Security Manager in facilitating periodic review of policies and procedures.
- Arrange IT Health Checks for Managed services and manage any follow up actions.
- Carry out research on current Cyber Security products and where appropriate write business cases for their implementation.
Qualifications
- Degree educated
- CompTia Security+ Training will be provided
- Must hold or be able to gain national security clearance/ Developed vetting clearances.
- To meet government policy requirements, must be a British national.
