IT Infrastructure Project Manager

EllisKnight Projects are currently hiring for a permanent IT Infrastructure Project Manager. This role will be working on major Enterprise technology programmes within the defence sector and will play a key role in delivering key projects to precise deadlines and budgets within highly secure environments.
The ideal candidate will have worked within a security cleared environment previously and ideally hold SC level clearance or be able to gain an unrestricted SC level clearance (single citizenship only).
The project manager will be professionally certified and familiar with complex, large scale project management and delivery. You will be comfortable working with both technical professionals (IT Engineers, Architects, developers) as well as engaging with and managing key stakeholders from both a business and technology background.
Skills and Experience

• Large scale IT Infrastructure /Enterprise Architecture experience/knowledge
• Demonstrable budget management experience
• Proven track record in delivering large scale/complex technology projects.
• Experience of managed service environments, with an awareness of ITIL best practice.
• Strong presentation skills both verbally and in writing.
• Detailed understanding of UK Government Security Classifications.
• Is currently SC cleared or has been in the past. For exceptional candidates we will also gain SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Some formal Project Management Certification preferred; APMP /PMI /Prince2/ Managing Successful Programmes etc
• ITIL v3 foundation is desirable
